"Biden's going to be very constrained in what kinds of economic policies he's going to be able to legislate. Unfortunately, I don't think he's going to have the ability to implement the proposals he's put forward to get us back to full employment more quickly."

POLITICO recently quoted Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics, in a piece about the Republican opposition President-elect Biden will face once in office. We're not surprised to hear it; what we're doing now is looking for ways around it.

Not a single Republican in the House supported Obama's stimulus package in 2009. The good news then was that Democrats held a trifecta -- the House, the Senate, and the White House -- so it didn't matter what Republicans did. Democrats were able to act, and they rescued our economy..

We can have a Democratic trifecta again. But it's going to be CLOSE, friend. Republicans already hold 50 Senate seats. Democrats must also win 50 seats (with Vice President Harris as tiebreaker in the Senate, Democrats will effectively control the chamber).

But right now, Democrats only have 48. The only path to 50 lies through Georgia. If Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock win, we get a blue trifecta -- just like the first two years of the Obama presidency. If they lose, we get a red Senate -- and a repeat of the last two years of the Obama presidency. Remember the difference?

Biden can't start behind the eight ball. But right now, he's set to -- unless we pull off a miracle and help two Democrats win in the heart of the South. Thanks to our hard work so far this election cycle, though, we've already beat impossible odds. Are you feeling ready to do it again?
