The eyes of the country are on Georgia right now, and for good reason. If Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock win their runoff elections in January, Democrats will control the Senate, as well as the White House and the House for the next two years.

But if we fall short in Georgia, Mitch McConnell and his cronies will continue to block everything from COVID relief to action on the climate crisis. Those are the stakes.

Together, we built a team of more than 800 volunteers and made hundreds of thousands of phone calls to help win the White House in November. Now, even as we turn our focus to NYC’s pivotal 2021 elections, we’re still organizing to win in Georgia (again!) because we know this fight is critical to deliver the relief and progress our city and country needs.

Mitch McConnell refused to allow the Senate to vote on badly-needed COVID relief for months.

Most of us agree that this shouldn’t be a partisan issue. COVID cases and deaths have spiked, millions are unemployed, and small businesses are struggling to pay basic expenses and rent.

Second chances don’t come around very often. We must grab this opportunity to flip the Senate and end Mitch McConnell’s obstruction. Both races are statistically tied, so it all comes down to which side can get the most voters to the polls.
