The PREE Workshop Series on Race ([link removed][UNIQID]) will wrap up virtually ([link removed][UNIQID]) this afternoon, December 2, 2020 from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm (Eastern) with the final workshop, Contemporary Social Issues and the Latinx Experience in the United States. Please register here. ([link removed][UNIQID]) EPI’s Program on Race, Ethnicity and the Economy initiated this 7-part workshop series to cultivate more constructive engagement on issues related to racial and economic justice among Washington, DC-based policy analysts, advocates and researchers. While the in-person meetings were restricted due to space limitations, we are pleased to open this final webinar to a broader audience.

Our speaker for this workshop is Dr. Francisca Antman ([link removed][UNIQID]) , Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In this session, we will learn about the diversity of the U.S. Latinx population by nativity, socioeconomic status, and intersections of racial and ethnic identity. In addressing these issues, Dr. Antman will incorporate her research on long-run impacts of desegregation for Latinos in California, immigration enforcement/policy and its impacts on the Latino community, and assimilation/ethnic attrition patterns.
Register for today's webinar, Contemporary Social Issues and the Latinx Experience in the United States. ([link removed][UNIQID])
