Hi

We’ve been asked to help a pregnant mum in desperate need.

She was diagnosed with cervical cancer when she was 16 and told she’d never have children. After multiple rounds of treatment, thankfully she recovered. She beat the odds and has three beautiful children with another due in January.

This mum is usually the one helping others. In January, her family were affected by the bushfires. One family member lost their home. Another came close. She was there to help them every step of the way.

Then COVID-19 hit. She lost her job and hasn’t been able to work since.

She’s now eight months pregnant and can’t afford the essentials for her baby who is due within days of Christmas.

No safe place to sleep. No clothing. No bedding. No nappies. She’s riddled with fear and worry.

This mum said that she has tried to stay strong for her children this year but the stress has been too much at times. Her two school aged children struggled with homeschooling. One of them completely shut down and found it hard to get out of bed each day.

When she was asked what this special gift of help would mean to them, she was speechless. She took some time and said, “I’ll just be so thankful that someone can make things a bit easier for us”.

Every year in November and December, the need always exceeds the stock we have. That’s without the stress of a global pandemic. This year we have people turning to us who never thought they would have to. With your support, we can provide the nursery equipment they so desperately need to provide a safe environment for their child.

Our waitlist only gets smaller when our incredible community bands together. We simply can’t help this family and all of the others without you.
