Please give now - for a strong transit future

Dear John,

When I joined San Francisco Transit Riders in September, I was excited to partner with you to champion a world class public transportation system in San Francisco.

In September, while COVID in San Francisco was not under control, it was headed in a good direction. Congressional action on a second stimulus and spending package seemed possible. And San Francisco Transit Riders was busy telling the story of Rider First Award honorees who were inspiring us with their efforts to keep our essential transit system running.

Now as I await the 10pm shelter in place curfew this evening, I am keenly aware of the challenges ahead. But I still remain hopeful. The strength and potential I’ve seen at San Francisco Transit Riders over the past three months, and my belief that we have the power to save Muni, inspires me daily. But inspiration is not enough. We really do need your help to do this vital work!

SF Examiner: SFMTA prepares for massive potential layoffs

Now is the time for you to step up and join our efforts to fight for funding in the face of dire budget forecasts. Permanent transit cuts are a real possiblity without the work of dedicated advocates to speak up for riders.

Forum, Dec 3: Transit Matters

Now is the time for you to join us on Thursday Night for a forum on the vision for a world class transit system in San Francisco. (insert Forum Registration)

Give now!

Now is the time for you to support our work with a financial gift so that our staff can continue to champion a vital, equitable, reliable, and accessible transit our city needs to not just recover but rebuild for a world class future.

There is no doubt, John, that we cannot do this work with your support and involvement.

Help us meet our match of $3,500 on this #GivingTuesday by making a tax deductible donation tonight!

Thanks in advance for your support!
~Mark
