John, my beautiful butterfly Dylan was the glue that held our family together. He was pure love.
I do this work to honor my baby boy, but I don't want to be the person sharing my story and consoling another parent the next time a school shooting happens.
I don't want there to be a next time.
But change isn't happening fast enough. Every day we waste and don't take action, more children are at risk. I won't accept that. That's why we must secure every dollar of our Giving Tuesday match and ramp up our work immediately.
Before I go to bed, with less than three hours left, I'm asking you, from the bottom of my heart, to make a donation. We're still short of our $650,000 goal, and every donation will be doubled to protect more children from gun violence. Can I count on you to give now, before midnight, to help close the gap?
Please give $10, or as much as you possibly can, to Sandy Hook Promise right now to have every dollar of your tax-deductible donation go twice as far to help us protect children from gun violence.

In 13 days, I'll mark eight years since Dylan was murdered. The pain is just as raw as it was back then. I know all too well what's at stake if we don't work fast enough to prevent the next tragedy: more precious lives like Dylan's.
The work we do through Sandy Hook Promise protects children from gun violence – so thank you for helping make that possible and for helping me build a legacy for my beautiful butterfly Dylan.
With love,
Nicole Hockley (Dylan's mom)
