This is HUGE. The gun manufacturer Colt just announced they are stopping ALL production and sales of the AR-15. This is a major victory for gun safety.

We have the momentum. The NRA is in shambles, and the gun manufacturers they represent are bending to public pressure.

While the NRA and gun activists’ company line is that gun sales are bigger than ever, today’s announcement by Colt tells the truth: America is sick of mass shootings and is demanding gun control legislation.

Last month I joined March for Our Lives organizers in Roswell for a gun safety town hall, and the consensus is clear: We need to do everything we can to save lives.

That means we need a background check for every gun sale, red flag laws that keep weapons out of the hands of domestic abusers, and a movement in Georgia to take on David Perdue, Mitch McConnell, and the NRA. Americans are voting with their wallets — it’s time for McConnell and the NRA to listen to your actual votes as well.
