Because of you, we’ve blocked more than a dozen fossil fuel infrastructure projects around the country, and we’ve gotten bans on fracking in New York, Maryland and Washington, as well as a five-year moratorium in Oregon. We organized in Baltimore to enact groundbreaking water affordability legislation and helped keep the water turned on for millions of people across the country during the pandemic. Your support is saving lives today and protecting our future.

2021 will be a crucial year under President-elect Biden and his administration. They will need to make climate a priority on day one, and I know you are ready for the chance to make real, bold federal change to protect our food, water and climate. Together, we will demand a:

-Ban on fracking and new fossil fuel extraction on public lands;
-National climate emergency declaration under the National Emergencies Act;
-Limit on appointments to only those with no ties to Big Oil & Gas;
-Reversal of environmental rollbacks for clean water protections and the National Environmental Policy Act; and
-Halt to water shutoffs during the pandemic.

I am confident that when we utilize our winning strategy of working directly with people and their communities to organize and demand change, President-elect Biden will listen to the millions of Americans demanding immediate action to protect people and our communities from catastrophic climate change.
