After wins at the ballot this year we are already turning to what we can accomplish with your help next year. We are going to need to seize every opportunity so that our state can recover from COVID-19 while continuing to move forward environmental policy that will create a more just and healthier state for decades to come. But we know that Big Polluters and their cronies are still going to throw everything they have at stopping environmental progress. Your gift today will be doubled and help us accomplish our goals for legislative session. Giving Tuesday is your chance to make a difference. Donate before midnight, have your contribution matched and support WCV’s work. With your help we can support our elected leaders who will hold corporate polluters accountable, stand for environmental justice, and protect our climate, forests, and waterways. Best, Kathy Kathy Malley Environmental Champion, The election results across Washington this year were important and positive for the environment. In statewide and legislative elections around Washington, we made sure that the environment was on voter’s minds. Because of you, elected leaders know they have a mandate to protect our communities from environmental challenges like the climate crisis. Now we need to make sure that they follow through with every vote they cast and action they take during legislative session. I hope you will contribute $5 or more this Giving Tuesday and have your gift matched so that we can carry the momentum we have built during the election into creating strong environmental policy. 2021 is going to be a critical year for the environment. Starting with legislative session, redistricting efforts, and critical municipal elections, the stakes are going to be high next year and with your support WCV will continue to fight for our communities and environment. We have to rebuild our economy in an equitable way as we recover from the pandemic. We have to move quickly to reduce climate pollution and protect the communities already feeling the effects of the climate crisis. And we have to put in a place a state budget that reflects our values and invests in a healthier future for Washington. You’ve helped us achieve so much. Together, we can build on the wins we’ve earned. On this national day of giving we hope you will take this opportunity to contribute to WCV and help us protect the Washington we all care about.
