John—
Thanks to our community’s generosity on Giving Tuesday, we’ve raised nearly $8,120 to repair and rebuild our immigration system.
Will you join the American Immigration Council and help us reach $10,000 before this global day of giving ends?
Your gift will be put to work immediately to create an immigration system we all can be proud of.
Gratefully,
Beth Werlin
Executive Director
Dear John,
Ending the hundreds of harmful immigration policies through legislation, litigation, and advocacy may seem daunting. But the American Immigration Council is ready to reverse the damage with your support.
Be a part of creating a fair and welcoming immigration system on Giving Tuesday.
The Council will continue to advance change through legal action, advocacy, and education. You can be a part of that change.
Your Giving Tuesday gift will be the groundwork for:
- Ending inhumane immigration detention conditions.
The Council’s litigation led to the government ending its policies of holding people for over 48 hours without a bed, blanket, shower, and meals that meet acceptable dietary standards in the Tucson sector.
- Providing accurate research and analysis on immigration policy.
The Council produces dozens of resources that are read by millions of people every year and cited in briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court.
- Holding immigration agencies accountable for misconduct.
The Council is currently in the courts demanding records on the deployment of immigration enforcement personnel during peaceful protests following the killing of George Floyd by police officers.
- Providing legal representation in immigration detention facilities.
The Council’s Immigration Justice Campaign has prepared hundreds of volunteers to defend migrants in the courtroom. Our one-of-a-kind remote trainings proved more essential than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic.
By making a Giving Tuesday donation, you can help restore the promise of America’s tradition of welcoming people from around the world.
Thank you for your generosity and support,
Beth Werlin
