Tomorrow my campaign will take part in an annual national event called PARK(ing) Day. In cities all over the country, metered parking spots get turned into a mini park for a day. Or, in our case, a few hours, (We know that parking in Portland is tight!)

PARKing Day celebrates urban space and, on the same day as the Global Climate Strike, it puts a needed focus on our responsibility as a city to reduce auto emissions. To that end, we’ll be giving away 10 METRO passes and 3 Casco Bay Lines tickets to Peaks Island to folks who stop by to say hi and talk about transportation and the role it plays in Portland.

Want to join us? RSVP to the event on Facebook or simply stop by 615 Congress (in front of the State Theater building) to find us between 10am and 2pm.
