As COVID-19 continues to cause tragedy and economic pain across our communities, it’s all too clear that viral spread and its impacts will likely get worse before it gets better.

Unfortunately, our most vulnerable neighbors are bearing the brunt of the suffering as every public system is tested to its limit.

I am working hard in both Washington and New York to make sure that the federal government does everything possible to support citizens’ health and economic security, but in the meantime, there is so much we can all do to support our local communities.
