John,
On December 1st, 1955, Rosa Parks was arrested when she refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama.
It’s been sixty-five years since her act of everyday courage became a pivotal moment in the civil rights movement. While we’ve made progress towards equality and justice, we still have a long way to go.
This year has only reaffirmed that. As 2020 draws to a close, we need to keep supporting organizations that are leading the fight for racial justice.
If you can, contribute to Black Lives Matter and the NAACP as they continue their important work.
