John -- This Giving Tuesday, we reflect on the long list of things our organization is grateful for.
What began as an idea borne out of frustration and determination has become the national movement you see today. Since April 2016, we have built out an incredibly gifted staff, recruited tens of thousands of diverse and driven volunteers and greatest among all, elected a handful of progressive champions to the United States Congress.
These are all gifts, plain and simple. All of which we owe to you, our supporters. Without fail, you have been with us doing the heavy lifting every step of the way.
However, this is about so much more than our organization. We did this because we wanted to give back to a country that needed a new vision. We wanted to deliver justice, equality and REAL progress in a way that actually helped all of us in our daily lives. We wanted to be a voice that said, “Enough is enough!” to the systems that oppress regular-working people. We wanted to challenge the status quo every step of the way.
The best part is, it's working. While we are beyond proud of the progress that’s been made, a time to be grateful is not a time to be complacent.
On this Giving Tuesday, will you make a contribution of $5, so that we can continue our efforts to give Americans the justice and progress they deserve?
As Rev. Darryl Gray said at our 2018 BNC candidate summit, “People want to be excited again!” We know this to be true, because we’ve witnessed it right on the front lines.
From Missouri to New York, Brand New Congress candidates and elected officials have excited a nation and given them a future to believe in.
If the last four years has taught us anything it’s that our growth is our super power. We’re ready to multiply the movement like never before.
Join us today, and together, we will continue to give the gift of a Brand New Congress.
In gratitude,
Rob Ryerse
Executive Director
Brand New Congress
Brand New Congress laid the foundation for the Green New Deal and we believe in a federal jobs guarantee, a living wage, and Medicare for All. We train and support candidates to run winning, grassroots campaigns while refusing a dime in corporate PAC donations.
Our elected progressive champions include Cori Bush, AOC, Rashida Tlaib, and Jamaal Bowman. Join us today and help us fight for a better future for ALL Americans.
