I'm asking you to give back however you are able

The days around Thanksgiving are a whirlwind -- Giving Tuesday has become a tradition for many of us -- a time to refocus our time and energy on giving back to our communities and those in need.

This time of year is especially busy for retail workers and grocery store clerks who already have increased demands put on them during the holiday season, and now, they have taken on the added personal risk of doing their jobs in the middle of a pandemic. Many of them are among so many workers who work hard for too little pay, and this year, more families than ever are being forced to turn to food banks and other community organizations.

You’ve given so much to our grassroots movement this year. This Giving Tuesday, I’m asking everyone to shift that generosity toward giving back however you are able to do so.

Too many in our country are struggling to buy groceries and pay rent -- especially during this health and economic crisis. If you are able, please consider making a donation to the National Diaper Network or a food bank in your area. These organizations provide essentials to families year-round.

With gratitude,

Sherrod
