John, here’s the brutal truth:

We needed to raise $500,000 from grassroots Democrats before our FEC fundraising deadline yesterday to keep up with Republican attacks on Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock in the Georgia runoffs — but as of this morning, our finance team says we actually fell short by $37,588.

This is tough news to swallow, especially since Mitch McConnell’s attack machine is attempting to drown us out in Georgia by spending more than $70 million in negative attack ads.

So, we’re extending the deadline internally in the hopes that we can catch up in the next 24-48 hours. If we can close at least some of this fundraising gap this week we might not have to cut our budget.
