Fellow American,
They don’t want you to see this.
If they got their way, they’d take it off the internet for good.
But you know that the American Principles Project PAC doesn’t give up in the fight for the American family — and we don’t ever give in to censors or bullies as we lead the way for pro-family issues to win in elections. So I’m proud to show you the hard-hitting and effective ad that Facebook censored … and I think you’ll be glad to hear about how we fought back to defend it.
In the 2020 election cycle, APP PAC used a $4 million digital ad campaign in critical battleground states like Michigan to explain how the radicalism of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Democratic candidates like Michigan Senator Gary Peters on transgender issues would destroy women’s sports by allowing any biological male to identify as a woman and compete.
But our video (watch it here) was censored from Facebook … so many pro-family Michigan voters weren’t able to see it.
Facebook relied on the work of PolitiFact, a “fact-checking” site with a well-known liberal bias, to censor our ads.
PolitiFact didn’t correct any claims that APP PAC made; they said that they couldn’t. But they did determine our ad was “missing context,” which is a brand new standard they only appear to be using against conservative ads.
So this past month, the American Principles Project and APP PAC filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
Our argument: Facebook’s censorship amounts to a roughly $47,000 in-kind contribution to the campaigns of Joe Biden and Sen. Gary Peters — a clear violation of campaign finance law.
By censoring our ad on such a flimsy basis — and by allowing ads in favor of Democrats to run unfettered on its platform — we believe Facebook materially contributed to the Democrats’ campaigns, and we’re calling on the FEC to launch an investigation as soon as possible.
Fellow American, I promise you this: the more that Big Tech and the cultural left try to censor us, the more we will share our message — and the more we talk directly with the American people, just like our hardworking APP PAC team is doing on the ground in Georgia right now.
The fight for the American family isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. I’m proud to stand with you and the more than 250,000 pro-family supporters in our network across America.
Thank you for your support. Terry Schilling Executive Director American Principles Project PAC
