With Giving Tuesday ending in just a few hours, my team and I checked the
numbers, and as of now, we’re still $14,657 short of our $100,000 goal.

Both at home and abroad, HIAS is working day and night to offer emergency rent
payment, food, and medicine to displaced children and adults — and that support
has never been more urgently needed than it is right now. We’re also providing
legal aid, advocating for the rights of refugees and asylum seekers — and we’re
using innovative solutions like special hotlines to connect asylum seekers and
refugees to the services they need.

As the global refugee crisis continues to worsen amid the pandemic, our work is
critical for the millions of displaced people who have left everything behind to
build new lives. But this work isn’t possible without you, and we still haven’t reached our
