John,
At Justice Democrats, we’re striving every day to make America a better place to live for all of us, while too many of our elected leaders are only looking out for corporate and big money interests. We’ve done that by electing working-class champions like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman, and we’re going to keep doing it as we recruit a new class of progressive candidates to upend the status quo.
We know that popular policies like Medicare for All and the Green New Deal will help save lives and save the planet. We know that a Congress that truly wants to end homelessness and hunger could accomplish those goals. On Giving Tuesday, let’s recommit to building a movement to get these policies passed and make this country a more equitable, more just, and more promising place to live.
As Congress continues to protect corporations and the wealthy few, so many people are struggling during this pandemic. While so many of our loved ones and neighbors are getting sick, people struggle even more than before to pay rent, eat, and afford their prescriptions. Right now, 26 million people don’t have enough to eat. This is not how it should be.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
