1.5 MILLION DOLLARS!!! That's how much my Democratic opponents raised in the 2nd quarter, mostly from liberal activists around the country who are determined to take me down. No Democratic candidate in South Carolina has ever raised so much money so early in an election cycle. Maybe it's because I stood up for Brett Kavanaugh – and the presumption of innocence until proven guilty – as Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee did their best to destroy a good man, while his family watched. Or maybe it's because I'm fed up with the Democrats' refusal to secure our southern border, which is causing a humanitarian and national security crisis. It could be any number of the common sense, conservative positions I've taken over the years, but of this I am certain: The Radical Left will say, do, or spend whatever it takes to defeat me.
