When I think of women-led resistance and solutions, I think of Indigenous Amazonian women defenders including María Taan and Nina Gualinga who are part of Mujeres Amazónicas.

As Nina shared on our blog last week, the Mujeres Amazónicas have joined together in defense of their rights and rainforest territories and have successfully forced out extractive companies and industries often risking their own lives in the process. When faced with violence and threats, we respond with solidarity and advocacy to help ensure their safety.
