Whether he wants to admit it or not, Donald Trump’s days in the White House are limited -- and so are his privileged days of presidential immunity.
Soon, the Justice Department will have full reign to prosecute Trump for the gross abuses of power we’ve seen him commit in office. From using the presidency to line his own pockets, to evading taxes, to using our tax dollars for his re-election campaign, to enacting inhumane policies such as the separation of immigrant families at the border, Trump has a lot to answer for.
Joe Biden has said he “just wants to move on” and let Trump leave Washington without any repercussions for what he’s already done, or will do from now until Inauguration Day.
But what message would that send? That a person like Donald Trump can not only come in and dissolve all democratic precedent set by the office, but he can also get away with it scot-free? The Washington Post has said that prosecuting Trump is an obligation, but Americans are largely divided on how to approach Trump’s departure. That’s why today, we need to know what you think:
