A few weeks ago, I shared the exciting news about our Lasting Affordability in Housing Now Fund to support rapidly expanding the scale of housing with lasting affordability. Shared equity housing is a scalable, sustainable solution, and we aim by aiming to increase the impact of our housing work through the creation of 1 million new homes over the next decade.

As impacts to American families from COVID-19 rapidly evolve, so too must action to ensure housing stability for the already-vulnerable renters and homeowners of color at risk for eviction or foreclosure as federal moratoriums expire. Stable housing is also required to support learning, stabilize employment hold down a job, and strengthen families, all of which is will be essential for economic recovery.
