Team,
As we enter the winter holiday season, I am once again struck by deep gratitude for the things we so often take for granted -- the health of my family and the food on our table.
Unfortunately, 2020 has taken a toll on the lives and livelihoods of so many families. I was heartbroken to find out that, due in large part to the impacts of the ongoing pandemic, several cities and counties across Virginia have among the nation's highest percentage changes in child food insecurity from 2018 to 2020.
But there is one thing that always tops my gratitude list, and I know it has not changed this year: The positive impact this community can have when we come together.
So, this Giving Tuesday I hope you'll join me in supporting our most vulnerable neighbors and consider a donation to one of our region's food banks:
Thank you so much for all you do to continue making our community stronger!
