Breast Cancer Action is a lean organization with an outsized impact. For 30 years our power has come from the commitment and support of our members. We raise 70% of our funding from individuals like YOU—and you can trust we’ll never take money from corporations or organizations that profit from or contribute to breast cancer.
Here is a sample of what our independence allowed us to do this year, because of your support:
- Helped to shape the Food and Drug Administration’s breast implant labeling guidance, and pushed back by demanding that it be made mandatory, so everyone considering breast implants is aware of the warned risks and potential harms.
- Moved the National Cancer Institute closer to ending their silence on environmental exposures by publishing information on the link between chemical exposures and breast cancer risk.
- Released our updated Toolkit to Navigate Breast Cancer which provides balanced, evidence-based and trustworthy information to help people make deeply personal and potentially life-changing decisions about breast cancer, completely free of charge.
