Dear John,

Today is Giving Tuesday, and it’s a day when many people reflect on their purpose in life. Our mission and purpose have always been about helping undocumented young people pursue their paths to empowerment. Whether it be through our scholarships, fellowships, or resources — we have been committed to that mission.

We want to introduce you to Carolina López, one of our 2019-2020 Legal Services Fellows. In the midst of this pandemic, Carolina shares with us:

Thank you so much for everything - the love, the support, the limitless encouragement. I am so incredibly lucky and grateful that Immigrants Rising has been a part of this journey with me. Thank you for having had my back through every single step of the way! — Carolina López, Immigrants Rising Legal Fellow ('20)

Carolina is one of the 112 undocumented young people we supported through fellowships this year. In total, we offered $199,315 in stipends and 2,037 hours in training to our fellows!

When we entered 2020, we had no idea what the year would hold for us: we did not anticipate that we would need to transition into an all-virtual environment; we could not have foreseen the grossly inequitable distribution of resources. But we knew one thing: that the seeds of leadership we were nurturing in Carolina and others would surely blossom into incredible sources of strength and resilience.

We enter 2021 with still many unknowns and much uncertainty, but our mission is as clear as ever. And we hope that you can affirm your values and support for young immigrants with your donation today.

This Giving Tuesday, can you donate $21 in support of our fellows for the upcoming year? ([link removed])

Thank you for all that you do,

Immigrants Rising
