Meet Claire!

Claire is a Mental Health First Aid England Instructor, founder of The Mind Map project and The Anxious Exercise Club and programme lead for the Tricky to Talk programme at Nottingham Forest Community Trust.

She also lives with a long-term anxiety condition.

Her blog looks at how she manages her anxiety day-to-day, the benefits of taking exercise and the impact that Covid-19 has had.

Evolve CIC evolves...

Evolve

Evolve CIC, one of our partners provide community and youth activities and when Covid hit, these all stopped. Quick to adapt and continue to protect the vulnerable people in our community, they joined with Fareshare and quickly adapted as a foodbank distributing over 75 tonnes of food locally, so far. 

They're also planning activities and opportunities that help wiith mindfulness and wellbeing ensuring our most vulnerable feel included and not alone.

Table Tennis scores "love all" for the Oye Family

Oye Family

Since lockdown in March 2020 the reality for many families has been a lot more time at home, and a lot less opportunity to be active.

For the
Oye family of Clifton, with five energetic children at home with Mum & Dad, the last few months have been difficult  to keep the family moving enough.

Thankfully, they were approached by Clifton Community and Family Support Group, and the Get Out Get Active Nottingham project and were soon converting the kitchen table for table tennis using their Table Tennis England Activity at Home kit!
