request. And I’ll never forget what happened next: thousands of
big-hearted people like you dug deep and sent a flood of donations to
their fellow members in need.
We were able to distribute thousands of dollars to SumOfUs members and
their families around the world -- it was a moment of pure, viral kindness
that sent people a lifeline.
Like Nathan. When the covid crisis first hit the US, he had to resort to
eating donated food and delaying bills payments.
But because Nathan is a SumOfUs member, he knew about our global support
platform, where people can ask each other for help. So he took a leap of
faith and posted his story. And someone like you chipped in to help him.
He said:
“I've been praying for help so much, and to see this message just now has
brought tears to my eyes. I knew there was still plenty of good left in
the world. Thank you so much, the entire community is such a blessing.”
Our community has managed to help so many like Nathan this year. But
John, the requests aren’t slowing down, and we’ve just run
out of the money we raised together.
