FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2020 ICYMI: WARNOCK-LED GROUP UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR VOTER FRAUD ATLANTA – In case you missed it, the Secretary of State yesterday announced an investigation into several groups suspected of voter fraud in the 2020 elections - including the New Georgia Project, a left-wing organization formerly led by Stacey Abrams and Raphael Warnock, who served as its spokesperson and CEO from 2014 to 2020. The group also receives funding from left-wing mega-donor George Soros - who is also backing Raphael Warnock's campaign. The New Georgia Project is being investigated for knowingly and willfully attempting to alter the outcome of Georgia's 2020 election by sending voter registrations to residents of New York in an effort to register out-of-state voters - a felony offense. This isn't the first time The New Georgia Project has been caught perpetuating illegal voter fraud in Georgia. In 2014, the organization was investigated for election interference, and state leaders found them guilty of "significant illegal activities." A state probe later confirmed widespread fraud by the group, including forgery, after which the State Election Board unanimously recommended criminal charges against 17 canvassers – all under Raphael Warnock's leadership. "For years, Raphael Warnock teamed up with Stacey Abrams, using the New Georgia Project as a cover for criminal activity to undermine the will of Georgia's voters and install radically liberal candidates through documented voter fraud," said Deputy Campaign Manager Stephen Lawson. "Now, it seems that the New Georgia Project is resuming its scheme in earnest for 2020 – because they know that as long as the playing field is level, Georgians will reject the extremist, socialist agenda of Raphael Warnock at the ballot box every time. The article noted that Abrams as a part-time CEO of the New Georgia Project received a salary of $177,000. In 2018, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Abrams received a total of $442,000 in compensation over three years from her non-profit foundations, including New Georgia Project, and had used the foundations to build the infrastructure for her gubernatorial campaign in 2018. The article noted that billionaire Democratic mega-donor George Soros and his son Alexander Soros helped finance Abrams’ New Georgia Project, stating “It drew funding from billionaire George Soros and his son Alexander, Abrams has said.” (“Abrams plans her future amid pressure of expectations,” Washington Post, 5/5/2019) In September 2014, then-Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp Opened an Investigation into the New Georgia Project over Voter Registration Fraud Allegations – a Preliminary Inquiry Found “Significant Illegal Activities” The preliminary inquiry found “significant illegal activities” including: "forged voter registration applications, forged signatures on releases allowing for photocopying of applications, applications with inaccurate or false information, applications completed or "forged" after telephone conversations between voters and the project's representatives, voters being told they were legally required to re-register to vote, voters being told they needed to apply for a voter identification card because they could not use a driver's license when voting." As part of the investigation, then-Secretary of State Brian Kemp issued a subpoena to the New Georgia Project.
