"Resilience" means to bend but not break. This characteristic is
essential when it comes to litigation because it involves a tremendous
amount of work over an extended period with inevitable setbacks and
disappointments along the way. The types of cases funded by MLFA, fought
by lawyers at the grant-funded CLCMA, have often been litigated for
years even before they come to our attention.

Giving Tuesday (December 1st) is a global day of giving fueled by the
power of people. Generosity is not just something we wish for someone
else, but an opportunity that we ALL have to make a difference in our
communities and create positive change around the globe. And it all
starts with YOU. The message is clear-we must come together as a
community and as a world to address the world's most pressing
challenges.

The Muslim Legal Fund of America (MLFA) is a nonprofit organization that
funds legal work and programs to defend Muslims against injustices in
American Courtroom, prisons, and communities. MLFA is the only national
tax-exempt nonprofit legal fund dedicated to defending Muslim's civil
rights and liberties at the federal level.  

This pandemic represents one of the most significant challenges that we
have faced in our lifetimes. Many people are out of work, organizations
are struggling, some are furloughing or even laying off employees, and
all of us are dealing with the day-to-day impact on our lives. But our
work must continue. The people we support cannot be abandoned,
regardless of the circumstances. The cases that we have fought for
years, and continue to fight, have to be seen through their inevitable
conclusions.

We are at a critical time in our history, and we need YOU.
