* Advocate to fully fund HIV prevention programs. Without proper funding, we cannot beat this epidemic, which has gone on for
far too long.
* Preserve, protect and build upon the Affordable Care Act, which dramatically expanded healthcare for people living with pre-existing
conditions, like HIV, while making preventative care more accessible.
* End discriminatory policies like the FDA’s blood ban. This year we made incremental progress by decreasing the time period down to
three months — but we won’t stop fighting until the ban is abolished
completely.
* Work in partnership with community-based organizations to design, implement, and evaluate multi-year strategies to end the HIV/AIDS
epidemic and combat HIV-related stigmas.
* Launch more groundbreaking initiatives through the HRC Foundation’s HIV and Health Equity Program, and expand efforts like My Body , an online HIV awareness and prevention campaign for young Black and Latinx
LGBTQ people. This includes more videos, downloadable guides, and resources
on how to get tested.
