Hi Global Citizen,

When crisis strikes, very little humanitarian aid goes toward education. Keeping young people in school after a disaster can make the difference between a region’s long-term collapse and its recovery, yet about 75 million children lack the support to continue their studies in times of crisis.

Tonight’s episode of ACTIVATE follows Rachel Brosnahan on a crusade with Global Citizen to convince Ireland, Japan, and the United States to commit funds to Education Cannot Wait (ECW), the world’s largest fund supporting children in crisis zones. Rachel, experts, and activists call on Global Citizens to take action and urge world leaders to ensure vulnerable children can stay in school. We visit Peru to meet with Venezuelan migrant families to learn more about education issues and solutions in an emotional and eye-opening segment of the series.
