Helping children when and where they need it most
We anticipate that for many families, behavior problems will be bubbling up in the months ahead as children spend more time cooped up at home. While some acting out may be inevitable, parents can learn to defuse frustration and other outsized emotions to keep kids from escalating. And kids can learn skills for managing these feelings on their own in the future.
This week on childmind.org we are rounding up advice about why children typically act out and what parents — and kids themselves — can do for a calmer, happier time all around.
