Our world is in crisis mode. It’s less than a year since Australia was ravaged by wildfires and it already feels like a distant memory. But we can’t let climate catastrophes like that become the new normal.

Despite global lockdowns, climate-heating gases have reached record highs. It’s clear we need a complete overhaul of our industrial, energy and transport systems.

With your support we can put the future of our planet back into people’s hands. Our 200+ Climate Action groups will be campaigning for local councils and mayors to adopt our ambitious Climate Action Plans. By starting local, we'll build up the pressure for national, and eventually global, change.

We need to act now. That’s why our Climate Action Plans for councils and mayors include 50 practical steps. From doubling tree cover to investing in renewable energy, these are concrete actions we can take to prevent total climate breakdown.

Of course, we couldn’t do it without you. Together, we’ve helped community groups fend off fracking, fight Heathrow expansion, and secure climate emergency declarations from councils up and down the country.
