Friend,

Apparently, Mitch McConnell really hates it when people call him “Moscow Mitch.” He thinks it’s “over the top.” But do you want to know what’s really over the top? Mitch McConnell’s decision to block two Senate bills meant to safeguard our elections from foreign interference. Will you sign this petition today demanding Mitch McConnell bring election security legislation to a vote immediately now that the Senate is back from recess? <[link removed]>

Our democracy is founded on fair and free elections, and our faith that every single ballot we cast will be counted towards the candidate of our choosing. So you would think that when a Senate report determined that the Russians tried to hack into election systems in all 50 states in 2016, members of Congress would cast partisanship aside to protect our democracy. But instead, we got Moscow Mitch. Hey, Mitch: The Russians won’t protect you when Kentuckians vote you out, so do your job and pass these election security bills before it’s too late. <[link removed]>

Just because Donald Trump brags that he would accept foreign help to win reelection in 2020 doesn’t mean that we have to tolerate election interference. We must safeguard our election process, and the first step is demanding that Mitch McConnell stop blocking election security bills. Will you add your voice to mine today? <[link removed]>

Best,
Ted
