Yesterday, I spoke with one of our Eagle Forum leaders who was preparing to fly to Georgia and work through the holidays to help elect conservative senators. I asked her if she was going to miss Christmas with her family, and she responded, “I have fifteen grandchildren. I cannot be a part of the generation that Ronald Reagan warned us about, forced to tell our grandchildren what it was like when men were free. I have to do everything to fight for freedom while I still can.”
This is Eagle Forum.
Eagle Forum’s beloved founder, Phyllis Schlafly, embodied this same unwavering spirit and work ethic. Phyllis had a unique understanding of and love for America and all that makes her exceptional, and she attracted like-minded activists who would fight to defend our great nation with similar resolve.
Phyllis motivated and equipped people like homemakers, and members of faith communities, people who had never before been politically involved, to take an active role in their government process to defend their rights and values.
Phyllis not only brought previously marginalized people into the political process, she formed Eagle Forum to lobby on behalf of those “interests” that are not well-funded, to give a voice to the voiceless.
For more than 50 years, Eagle Forum has carried out Phyllis’ vision by taking on seemingly impossible, but essential battles: to protect the unborn, to protect homemakers and working families, to protect American jobs, to defend taxpayers, religious freedom, and intellectual property, to defend children from being subject to the radical left-wing agenda being implemented through public school curriculum, to defend our military from left-wing social experimentation, to protect our world-class health care system, to fight the politicization of medicine, to fight censorship in all its forms and to protect all that makes America exceptional.
Equipped with truth, and motivated by love for God and country, Eagle Forum’s volunteer citizen lobbyists have had, and continue to have a profound impact at their statehouses and on their federal representatives, by staying informed, getting involved, never giving up, and motivating others to do the same.
We need your
help to continue to equip our volunteer activists with the tools, support, and reliable information they need to impact policy and to hold our elected representatives accountable.
Please consider a
gift today so that we can continue to faithfully support the faithful in the fight for freedom.
Thankfully,
Colleen Holcomb, President
Eagle Forum
