To build on this year's gains, each of us has to make civic engagement part of our everyday life. Here's an effective (and easy) way to do it.

Dear John,

One of the things that has kept me going over the past 4 years is seeing you step up to save democracy. Since 2016, our country has endured an aspiring autocrat in the White House, growing levels of hate speech and violence, and a disastrous national pandemic response that has left hundreds of thousands of Americans dead.

In the face of these challenges, people like you have chosen to take action―reaching out to fellow voters, protesting injustice, wearing your mask, and electing Joe Biden with more votes than any candidate for President has ever received.

During that time, Sister District transformed from an abstract idea into a network of more than 50,000 supporters in communities all across the country. We backed candidates in 119 races, raised nearly $3.7 million directly to their campaigns, and reached out to more than 3 million voters in 17 states.

But we can’t stop now. To build on the progress we have already made, we have to make civic engagement part of everyday life. One simple way to stay involved is to become a monthly donor to the Sister District Project.

Will you join our District Defenders program by signing up to make an automatic gift of $5, $10, or $20 each month? ([link removed][UNIQID])

Donating to causes you believe in is activism. When you join our District Defenders monthly giving program, your gift will support our full-time, year-round work to:

* Scale and strengthen our volunteer recruitment, training, and mobilization;

* Provide robust campaign services to our endorsed candidates and their staff;

* Educate communities on the importance of states via press and social media;

* Develop technology infrastructure to support and empower our volunteer teams.

With the presidential election over, now may seem like the time to take a break from activism. But real change will only come about from the steady work each of us does―day after day, year after year. Can you set aside $5, $10, or $20 a month to ensure Sister District has a steady, reliable source of income in the year ahead? ([link removed][UNIQID])

Sister District is in this for the long haul. In the coming months, we will be rolling out our 2021 - 2022 Political Strategy and announcing new programs and partnerships. We hope you will join us in the journey ahead by supporting our work through a monthly gift of any size.

Rita Bosworth
Executive Director

P.S. ― Not ready to make a monthly gift? Chip in by making a one-time contribution to help Sister District keep shifting the tide for Democrats in the states! ([link removed][UNIQID])
