This year we have faced fear, sorrow and widespread upheaval. For those of us impacted by HIV, these circumstances have amplified our anxieties and uncertainties. Even though this World AIDS Day finds us in a changing world, we can offer at least one constant: The Center is here for you, now and always.
You can come to us for a range of virtual services, including mental health or substance use counseling, support groups, peer connection, health insurance enrollment assistance and more. We also continue to provide free at-home HIV test kits, connection to PrEP and PEP and condom delivery. If you or someone you know is in need of any of these services, please visit gaycenter.org/covid-19-resources or reach out to us at [email protected].
We are pleased to invite you to several virtual events for World AIDS Day:

We also welcome you to take part in one of our biggest annual initiatives in our work around HIV/AIDS: Cycle for the Cause. Cycle for the Cause is an epic three day, 275 mile bike ride from Boston to New York that raises millions to fund the fight to end AIDS. Participants come from all walks of life and experience levels, and together we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of people living with HIV and AIDS. From September 24-26, 2021, we will once again ride together. Check out this video to learn more.
Finally, did you know that this year, World AIDS Day coincides with #GivingTuesday? If you’re able, please honor the life or memory of a loved one today. Your help sustains The Center's vital HIV/AIDS community services.
Thank you for your time and support of The Center. We are honored to be with you in spirit for World AIDS Day, and hope to see you at the various events today and in the coming year. Take care and stay well.
In solidarity,
Kirsten Eid
Director of HIV Services
