Dear John,

I don’t want to downplay it. The challenges ahead of us are daunting.

We’re facing a deep crisis of commitment to fundamental freedoms globally, and
those working bravely for human rights are more at risk than ever.

Despite the great challenges we face, these are unique and hopeful times for anyone who yearns for a more just world. There is such enthusiasm, passion,
and hunger for change.

I just have to look at your impact this year to find hope and reinforce my determination that a better world is possible. Because of you, Narges Mohammadi , who was put behind bars for her women’s rights activism in Iran, is free. Magai Matiop was released from death row where he was convicted at just 15 years old in
South Sudan. Chinese human rights lawyer Wang Quanzhang , wrongly imprisoned for almost five years, is back at home with his family.

John, today is Giving Tuesday — a day where people come
together to give what they can to the organizations they believe in . As I look at our shared work ahead, and the human rights defenders risking
everything for their freedom, I want to take this opportunity to ask you for a
donation so we can continue to support them and their brave work.

John, I know you take action with the Amnesty community
because of your unrelenting belief in human rights for all. So can I ask you to
consider a donation today to help extend your support even further?

[[link removed]]Human rights work is heart wrenching, emotionally taxing, and requires a
commitment and belief in the cause that lives deep down in our core. It’s also
deeply inspiring to witness the power of people working together for change.

It’s an honour and a joy to work in solidarity with you and with countless
passionate and fearless activists, as we continue to push towards the changes we
so fervently seek, and the freedom of human rights defenders around the world.

This work would not be possible without your dedication , your time, your energy and your generous support.

We believe in your power to make change and the power of each of us acting
together — will you chip in to help us continue our life saving, life-affirming work this
Giving Tuesday?
