Dear Friend,

If you’re like most seniors, your Social Security check doesn’t begin to go far enough.

When the average Social Security benefit is just $1,503, too many retirees are forced to choose which bills to pay now and what can be put off until next month.

It shouldn’t be that way.

That’s why I’m asking you to support our work to pass the Strengthening Social
Security Act (H.R. 2654). This historic legislation will:

Give retirees an additional $800 in Social Security income every year, with bigger checks every month.

We can’t get this done without you. That’s why I’m asking you to do your part to get this legislation passed.

Can you please chip in to help?

The sooner we can get Congress to pass the Strengthening Social Security Act, the sooner monthly benefits will increase.

To make this happen, we are turning up the heat on Congress. We’ll be going office to office to urge your Senators and Representatives to increase Social Security benefits for every retiree.

The fact is, one dollar of today’s Social Security benefit is worth just $0.66 compared to what it was worth in 2000. At the same time, the typical expenses of people over 65 have risen by almost 100%.

This can’t go on.

Please support our campaign to pass the Strengthening Social Security Act right now.

We’re mobilizing all 4.4 million Alliance members for this fight. I hope I can count you among them. Together, we will get this done.

Sincerely,

Rich Fiesta
Executive Director

P.S. Thank you for contributing what you can to our campaign to increase annual Social Security checks by $800. An increase today and tomorrow’s seniors have earned. Please chip in today.
