Plus seminar about Happy's case today!

Dear John,

Please consider making your first gift to the Nonhuman Rights Project today on this global day of giving and support us in our mission to build a more just world for all.

Since our founding, the NhRP has envisioned and worked to build a world where decisions are made at all levels based on science, justice, and the interconnectedness of all life on earth. This global pandemic, rooted in the exploitation of nonhuman animals, is a clear yet far from isolated example of how viewing and treating other animals as mere “things”—resources to be exploited for human use—undeniably harms all of us, nonhuman and human beings alike.

We at the NhRP know that the only way that we can protect other animals from human-caused harm is by effecting lasting legal change, beginning with recognition and protection of great apes, elephants, dolphins, and whales’ right to liberty. In only a few years, we’ve made tremendous progress as we confront thousands of years of nonhuman animals’ rightlessness.

We understand giving might be difficult this year. Please know that the NhRP appreciates all types of support, financial or otherwise. If you are in a position to give your first gift today, please support us this Giving Tuesday in our unrelenting push for meaningful, lasting legal change in the lives of nonhuman animals, which will help strengthen the values and principles of justice that protect us all.

With gratitude,
Kevin Schneider
Executive Director, the NhRP

P.S. A reminder to please join us live on Zoom today at 12 p.m. PT/ 3 p.m. ET when NhRP President Steven M. Wise, NhRP Director of Government Relations and Campaigns Courtney Fern, and I will break down what happened in recent oral arguments in Happy’s case and how it relates to our fight for nonhuman rights at large.
