Dear Friend of MCV,

You’ve made it through Black Friday and Cyber Monday and TODAY is the day your money can help to change the world, starting right here in Maine.

Begin your holiday season on this international day of giving, Giving Tuesday, with a meaningful donation [[link removed]] to MCV to protect the places and people in this state that you and I love.

Your generous gift [[link removed]] will be put right to work tackling the climate crisis and transitioning Maine to a clean energy future. Amidst a global pandemic, it is even more urgent that we protect our health by taking strong action now to restore a safe climate and healthy ecosystems.

Over the last year, MCV worked with allies to push the state to develop a strong Climate Action Plan — a pathway to reducing carbon emissions in Maine by 80% and increasing our use of renewable energy to 100% by 2050. Stay tuned for breaking news as this plan will be released to the public today.

In 2021, MCV’s priority will be to implement this critical plan into action with legislative policies that reduce carbon emissions and advance racial and economic justice

Given the myriad of threats that Maine faces from the climate crisis—from high asthma rates, to rising sea levels, to lost wildlife habitat—the time to financially support climate action is NOW.

If you are able to donate this Giving Tuesday, please click here to make a gift to MCV [[link removed]] . You will make a difference in all that we can accomplish in the coming year.

Thank you for your support and I wish for you a peaceful and healthy holiday season.

- Rani
