The Big Give Christmas Challenge is now LIVE!

Please don’t miss out:

Dear John,

When I opened the catalogue, instead of seeing clothing or furniture, I saw real live animals listed for sale.

Sharks from around the world all caught from the wild. One of the catalogues had 41 species including sharks and rays, which were available to order in different sizes. Octopuses from Japan, the Philippines and other locations in the tropics... ready caught for your order.

These catalogues were from two major 'suppliers' of wild animals to the aquarium industry. These companies do business by capturing wild animals from their natural habitats and shipping them around the world to aquariums.

John, today you have a chance to stop this cruel trade! When you make a donation to the campaign from now until midday 8th December, your gift could be MATCHED, meaning you will double your impact to keep animals in the wild. ([link removed])

A page from one of the catalogues.

Can you see the 'collection' methods listed by each animal? Blue sharks caught by hooks. Rays caught by nets. All brutally removed from their wild homes.

Can you imagine it?

The confusion and fear must be great, to suddenly be removed from your world, from your family and friends, to be held prisoner in a foreign place. To be handled and moved against your will in cramped containers. Undergoing stressful journeys in a plastic bag or box, sometimes for more than a week at a time. To finally find yourself dumped into a tank with glass walls, with humans peering in on you.

This has to end. Please can you make a donation to lead this ground-breaking campaign and shake the aquarium industry to the core? ([link removed]) To prevent animals from ever being taken from the wild. To make sure they can remain wild and free.

If you donate from now until 8th December your donation could be MATCHED. But you must act quick - the matched funds are limited and could run out fast!

With you by our side, together we can expose a side to the aquarium industry that has NEVER been investigated before. We will campaign for an end to this cruel trade to protect animals and the habitats they live in.

The Covid-19 pandemic is having a serious impact on our ability to raise funds. Yet there are clearly still so many animals in need. So please take advantage of this amazing chance to have your donation matched.

P.S. Animals are brutally ripped from their wild homes and undergo long and stressful journeys to be put on display in UK aquariums. Now we have a chance to take action against this cruel trade but Covid-19 is threatening our work.

Please make an urgent donation via the Big Give from now until 8th December and it could be MATCHED. ([link removed]) Your donation will go even further for animals and help protect them from spending a life time in captivity.
