Hi Friend,

As a mother of five, I do a lot for my children, from changing diapers to preparing meals to helping with homework. It’s exhausting at times, especially during this pandemic, but I cherish every moment I get to spend watching them learn and grow.

One of the most important things I do for my children is donating to Muslim Advocates.

I want my children, and all children, to grow up in an America that honors and respects them — where they won’t face hate and discrimination just because they’re Muslim. I know that Muslim Advocates is creating that future.

The work that Muslim Advocates does often brings me to tears. When they defend the rights of Muslims in Culpeper, VA, to build a mosque despite bigoted opposition, or when they work with Congress to pass the first Muslim civil rights bill that will reunite millions of American families separated by the Muslim Ban, they’re laying the foundation for the America that our children deserve, regardless of their faith.

I’ll be honest: I’m deeply disturbed by the countless ways that Muslims are targeted in this country. I also know that complaining won’t get us anywhere. It’s up to us to ensure that our voices have a seat at the table to shape the laws and policies that will impact our communities for generations to come. Muslim Advocates is making that happen.
