Good afternoon! We hope this newsletter finds you all well and cool (it’s hot out!). Don’t forget, tonight is the DEC (Democratic Executive Committee) meeting at the Community Center, 2266 14^th Ave., Vero Beach. The meeting begins at 6 pm. All are welcome to attend and stay up to date on what the Democrats are up to!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - DOWNTOWN FRIDAY

Downtown Friday is September 27^th and we need volunteers to man our booth for the following shifts:
7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

If you are interested in volunteering for this shift, please send Stacey an email at

Please note that Downtown Friday is an ongoing event (the last Friday of every month) and we need help setting up and taking down the booth. If you are interested in being a point person for this task, please let Stacey know.

LET’S REGISTER VOTERS!

We’ve begun knocking on doors to register voters! We have approximately 700 community members whom the Florida Democratic Party identified as unregistered voters. Let’s get them registered!

Our next canvassing will take place on Monday, September 23.

We will meet at Headquarters (2345 14^th Ave., Suite 7, Vero Beach) at 5 p.m. If you are not currently trained to register voters, we will do the training before heading out.

If you plan to canvass, you will need a smartphone with mapping capability.
If canvassing door to door is not your cup of tea, we will begin having tables at the local libraries to register voters at least once a week. If you are interested in this, please send Stacey an email at

In October we will have more opportunities for canvassing and library registrations. Stay tuned for those dates!
MOVIE NIGHT AT HEADQUARTERS - TOMORROW

On Friday, September 20^th at 5:30 p.m. we will be hosting a movie night at the office! In honor of the upcoming 100^th year anniversary of the Women’s Suffrage movement, we will be showing “Iron Jawed Angels”, a movie detailing the struggles women went through to get the right to vote. Please bring your own drinks and money to contribute for pizza. Space is limited so please RSVP to Stacey at
