You may have seen the article in The Examiner that we are likely facing hundreds of layoffs at Muni - possibly 1,200 over the next couple years. These layoffs, service cuts, and cuts to maintenance are going to have cascading impacts we don't want to imagine. The best way to prevent the cuts is by demanding funding at the federal level.

San Francisco Transit Riders is part of a nationwide network of transit advocacy groups that has been organizing for federal transit funding since the start of the pandemic. Because we're grounded in our local grassroots communities, our voices are more impactful together than well-placed policy experts would be on their own.

It takes a lot of time and energy to organize transit riders. It takes a lot of time and energy to make sure we're strategically positioned to elevate the rider's voice. We simply can't do this work without your support.
