This statement was delivered in a speech given by Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr shortly before he passed, but first used in the 1800s by a Unitarian Minister in the fight to abolish slavery.
Promise Arizona has embraced this statement as a call to action since its founding in 2010 and will continue to do so. We also wish to recognize and thank the many volunteers, members, organizers that have stood up and fought for democracy and civil rights through the decades. Thankfully we have a great opportunity in 2021 to continue the legacy of those who have come before us in the long journey of fighting for moral justice, dignity, and equity.
Promise Arizona joins “GIVING TUESDAY” for the first time this year. We are joining many other worthwhile efforts on this December 1 to invite supporters to continue to propel the bend toward justice. This is our invitation to the community to join in supporting the work of our dedicated team of many youth with a desire to make a difference, in addition to PAZ members and long term movement movement building leaders.

Esta frase fue mencionada en un discurso pronunciado por el Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. poco antes de su muerte, pero fue utilizada por primera vez en el siglo XIX por un ministro unitarista en la lucha para abolir la esclavitud.
Promise Arizona ha adoptado esta declaración como un llamado a la acción desde su fundación en 2010 y continuará haciéndolo. También deseamos reconocer y agradecer a los muchos voluntarios, miembros y organizadores que se han levantado y luchado por la democracia y los derechos civiles durante décadas. Afortunadamente, tenemos una gran oportunidad en 2021 para continuar el legado de quienes nos han precedido en el largo viaje de luchar por la justicia moral, la dignidad y la equidad.
