Hi Friend --

This has been a year like no other.

Through it all, NLC alumni have been leading on the frontlines - in hospitals, community centers, polling places, seats of government, marches for justice, and everywhere in between - while also living with their own losses and pain. As we reflect on this year, we are grateful for all that our alumni have given to build the country we deserve.

And as we look ahead, we also know that joy and hope are at the very heart of new beginnings. And with that, we celebrate what is next for leadership.

Just over a week ago, we announced our class of 2021 New Leaders Council Fellows. Starting in January, these 866 leaders will embark on their six-month NLC Fellowship. While this year’s NLC Institute will take place virtually, we have no doubt that the skills and network they will gain will be transformative - for each Fellow, their relationships with each other, and for the communities they serve.

On Giving Tuesday, we hope that you will consider making a donation in support of what’s next for leadership:

When rising leaders have what they need to develop their skills and achieve their dreams, we all benefit. Thank you for showing up for NLC and our 2021 Fellows.

Onward,
