John,
Wisconsin’s recount is over and the results of the election will soon be certified. Wisconsin’s election was safe and secure and the voters selected Joe Biden to be our next President.
It’s evident that Donald Trump’s recount effort was never about verifying the security of the election, it was about attempting to change the rules to exclude the votes of citizens of the two most racially diverse counties in Wisconsin.
The voters decided who won this election, and nobody gets to change the rules after the fact because they did not like the outcome.
Now it’s time to move forward and deliver on the critical needs of Wisconsin.
It is more important than ever to protect the right to vote and ensure that every citizen can conveniently and securely cast their ballot and have a voice in our democracy. Measures such as automatic voter registration, absentee ballot applications mailed to all registered voters, and requiring employers to allow paid time off to vote can help strengthen our democracy in the future.
Wisconsin needs government intervention to slow the spread of COVID-19, further equip our hospitals to deal with the surge, and ensure the economic well-being of all those who have been affected by the virus, in addition to helping those face eviction, unemployment, or an uncertain future for their small business.
After a year of around the clock work, A Better Wisconsin Together continues to empower families and communities across Wisconsin by lifting up stories of everyday folks in our state and holding accountable those policymakers who are standing in the way of progress.
With a small donation to A Better Wisconsin Together, you’ll be supporting our work pushing for progress and delivering on the needs of our state.
Thanks for all you do!
