We still need 78 more people to donate today.
I know that may not sound like a challenge, but a “funny” thing tends to happen in the closing hours of a make-or-break moment like this:
So many people assume someone else will step up that hardly anybody actually does.
If you can, please donate right now so that Public Citizen is at full strength as we fight whatever lame-duck nonsense Trump tries to pull AND as we push the incoming Biden administration in a progressive direction.
Thank you for supporting this shared project called Public Citizen.

P.S. My earlier message — about the budget shortfall we’re facing today — is copied below in case you missed it.

A bit of a problem here:
We usually see a dip in donations around the Thanksgiving holiday.
But this year, it was more like a total collapse.
And right now, we’re looking at a shortfall in online donations for November of $11,602.
If $11,602 doesn’t sound like much for an organization as strong as Public Citizen, let me say this very plainly:
As efficient and effective as Public Citizen is, if we don’t hit our targets, we can’t do what we need to do to counteract the ongoing foolishness from Donald Trump’s lame-duck White House, push the incoming Biden Administration in a progressive direction, and more.
I know it’s not the right time for many Public Citizen supporters.
But if you can, please donate BEFORE MIDNIGHT to help make sure we don’t fall behind at such a pivotal moment.
Contribute now.
Or even join our popular Monthly Giving program to help provide the dependable resources it takes to keep fighting.
Thank you for anything you can chip in today.
For justice,
- Robert Weissman, President of Public Citizen
